Submitting Event and Editing Events

How to submit your event

It’s completely free to list your event on RA.

Once you’ve submitted your event - and it has been approved - your event will appear in our event listings which are visited by over half a million users per month.

Submit your event:

To begin submitting your event click here.

You must be logged in to your RA user account in order to submit an event. All events must be approved by our events approval team before being made live.

Tips:
  • Please only submit events that are related to electronic music. Any other types of events will not be approved
  • We will only accept one submission per event. Any duplicates will be removed
  • Please keep the event title as simple as possible and do not include the venue name, date or any kind of emojis or symbols. Please also do not include 'free tickets' or 'free entry' in the title
  • Add as much information about your event as possible
  • Submit your event as far in advance as you possibly can to maximise exposure on our site
  • List your venue as TBA if it’s yet to be confirmed or announced
  • If we do not have the venue you are looking for in the dropdown, you can create it here
  • List your lineup as TBA if it’s yet to be confirmed or announced
  • If your artists have RA artist pages, please ensure to tag them in lineup
  • Be sure to add your promoter account under the 'Promoters' section during the event submission process - this means your event will be listed on your promoter page and you will be able to add tickets. Need to set up a promoter account? Head here
Event Visibility:

You can set your event to be published immediately, hidden indefinitely or set a date and time for it to go live automatically. You can do this on the last page of event submission form.

We aim to approve events in 24 hours.

Event ownership: Events are submitted and edited by user accounts and not by promoter profiles. If you'd like to transfer ownership of your event to another user, go to the Settings tab > Advanced.

Editing Events:

To edit your event, click 'Submit update' on the top right.

Once you submit your event, you will not be able to change the date, time or venue. Please reach out to [email protected] if you need assistance with this.

If you are selling tickets for your event and you need to make changes to essential event details - such as changing the date, or cancelling your event - please contact [email protected]

Event submission guidelines:

Resident Advisor is open to a wide range of electronic music events and closely related scenes. If your event includes electronic music, whether it’s a club night, live performance, listening session, or something more experimental, we welcome your submission. We also encourage adjacent cultural events that are connected to electronic music in spirit or community, such as art shows, talks, or record fairs, especially when they’re tied to electronic scenes.

We’re especially keen to feature events such as:

  • DJ club nights & live electronic performances
  • Electronic-focused festivals and day parties
  • Listening sessions, album launches and label showcases
  • Fundraiser, mutual aid events or open decks with a focus on electronic music
  • Talks, screenings and workshops connected to electronic music culture e.g. music production, harm reduction, safer spaces, documentaries, movies etc.
  • Community events run by local collectives, queer crews or DIY spaces
  • Record store pop-ups, zine fairs, or exhibitions tied to the scene
  • Electronic music related run-clubs and sporting events
  • Radio shows with public listening spaces

Events may be rejected or removed if they contain:

  • Promotion of illegal or harmful activity
  • Hateful, discriminatory, or violent content
  • Gambling, raffles, sweepstakes, or lotteries
  • No credible connection to electronic music or its communities

Anyone can submit an event to RA, whether you’re a promoter, DJ, artist, venue or community organiser. All you need is a free RA account. Our team reviews each event to ensure it fits the platform, but we aim to support the breadth of global electronic music culture.
